The Right Thing
People commonly differ about what is right and wrong, which is surprising considering there is general agreement on moral outlooks. This may be because ethical issues are all too often reduced to judgements of expediency, with social factors playing a role. Moral positions are much swayed by fashion. They ought instead to derive from thought.
