Popular Beliefs
The beliefs one comes to hold are influenced by the news, opinions, and attitudes one encounters. Long-term conditioning in a society and shorter-term rhetoric or propaganda, therefore, play an important role in the forming of beliefs. Learning other viewpoints provides a balanced perspective.
