Most people who have no axe to grind generally wish peaceful co-existence and prosperity for all. This belief is part of modern consciousness. Despite it, world affairs are in upheaval because, as America forsakes its conscience and chooses the temptations of empire, we embark on the road to power politics, insecurity, and strife.
